Rumour Nintendo NX will be android based

Nintendo currently is working on next-generation game console, named NX, but the Nintendo remains silent about the details until the launch in approx. 2016. While the hardware specification is not yet known, recent reports say the NX game console will use Android-based OS.


So far Nintendo told that NX gaming console would be an addition to the Wii U and 3DS consoles that already exist today. It does not mean Nintendo gave up competing with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The idea of Nintendo using Android-based OS for the console is to give developers the freedom to create a game that is easily accessible for users of smartphones and tablets.
