Samsung Galaxy S8 officially released in various countries at the beginning of this year. However, the design looks less precise because of installing fingerprint scanner (fingerprint) on the back, right next to the smartphone's camera.
Apparently, the design will also last long as reported by KGI Securities. 9to5Google mentioned that KGI released a new report claiming that Samsung will embed the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.
Samsung will keep the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone for the Galaxy S9 to be released next year, and ultimately aims to introduce the under-display feature for the Galaxy Note 9.
Despite its uncomfortable placement,  fingerprints sensor on the S8 seem to be a somewhat compulsive change as Samsung finds it difficult to install it below the screen.
Samsung is not the only company that has difficulty getting that special feature. Now some smartphone vendors to develop various devices by carrying a curved screen and thin bezel. As a result, they must move some buttons to the mobile phone, or combine them into the screen.
Apple is rumored to be developing a fingerprint scanner to screen phones for the latest iPhone, but a recent report from KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the company will be delayed. Instead, Apple is likely to use virtual keys.
Therefore, KGI does not think that Samsung will rush to introduce the fingerprint sensor technology. In its report, KGI said, "Galaxy S9 will have new sales points for improved iris and dual-camera recognition, Samsung does not have to take the risk of adopting optical fingerprint solutions under the screen quickly (in a hurry)."
Fingerprint sensor technology embedded on the screen, not only rumored for Samsung smartphones and Apple. Unexpectedly, one of China's vendors even rumored to be carrying the technology first.
Initially, Vivo smartphone released an image showing the fingerprint scanner technology that is immersed in the screen. This is reinforced by some presentation slides as well as Vivo India tweet posts that show off fingerprint images.
Based on the image, the new Vivo smartphone technology fingerprint sensor will be exhibited in the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Shanghai. Similarly, as reported by The Verge, Monday (07/08/2017).
